Regency Auto’s ReggieFromRegency Philanthropy Campaign Raises $100,000 for BC Charities in 2021

It’s been a little over a year since Regency Auto launched their ReggieFromRegency philanthropy campaign, which fundraises for select charities in British Columbia every quarter. As of today, Regency Auto has raised a total of $100,000 for charities, such as Family Services of Greater Vancouver, BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Oncology Initiative, Canadian Red Cross’s BC Floods and Extreme Weather Appeal and Canadian Mental Health Association (BC Division). The company is driven to meet their long-term fundraising goal of $1,000,000 by the end of 2025.

Izzam Ahamed, Managing Director of Regency Auto, stated that Regency Auto has always taken pride in giving back to the local community.

“The community has supported our local business for over 30 years,” said Ahamed. “I’m extremely grateful and have always wanted to use our company’s platform to help others in need. My team and I introduced our philanthropy campaign with the goal of bringing people together and creating positive change in our local community. After all, anything can be achieved when people work together. We hope that all beneficiaries are provided with the necessary resources to be in better positions than what they were in previously.”

Evan Chang, Senior Manager of Communications at Regency Auto, worked alongside Ahamed to launch the philanthropy campaign.

“I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished so far,” said Chang. “It’s been a memorable experience seeing the positive impact that each donation has on our community. Last year, our fundraising efforts went towards protecting and enhancing the quality of life for thousands of animals in British Columbia, financially assisting families that were recovering from damages caused by floods in Abbotsford, and supporting oncology research and children with cancer. I’d like to thank each and every guest for supporting our fundraisers and making all of this possible, as well as my entire team at Regency Auto for their hard work and dedication to our philanthropy campaign. We look forward to supporting local charities for many more years to come!”

This quarter, Regency Auto is fundraising for Backpack Buddies, to help feed vulnerable children who face food insecurity in British Columbia. The company is pledging $50 for every new and used vehicle sold. All donors (who donate $50 or more) and vehicle purchasers will receive a free ReggieFromRegency panda plushie, as a token of the philanthropy campaign.
